Disk Space Usage

Control Panel Features No Comments »

The Disk Space Usage icon can be extremely useful if you’re running a little low on space and don’t know why! It will give you a list of all files and directories using an abnormally high amount of disk space so you can do something about it before you reach your limit.

If it’s the ‘mail’ directory that’s quite full then it might be worth considering checking your username@domain.ext account for spam. If this is the case simply delete all e-mails and turn on some anti-spam software like Boxtrapper or Spamassassin (see ‘Mail’ post in Control Panel Features).

If it’s the ’stats’ folder consider changing your stats settings - you can set it to archive just one month’s stats and delete the rest.

Parked Domains

Control Panel Features No Comments »

The Parked Domains allows you to “point” or “park” additional domain names to your existing hosting account. This will allow users to also reach your website when entering the “parked” or “pointed” domain into their browsers.

For example, the domain www.yourdomain.com could point to www.yourdomain.ext

Webmail

An easy way to access your webmail is by simply clicking on the webmail icon from your control panel, alternatively visit

www.yourdomain.ext/webmail

You can use either Horde or Squirrelmail - two fantastic ad-free webmail programs. Squirrelmail is simpler and cleaner than Horde however Horde has many more features. Your username is your e-mail address and your password is your e-mail password
