Just what is trackbacking in blogging terms?
It is a great function that allows you to easily contribute and respond to feedback from around the blogging world. In general users write comments when they come across a post they enjoy with trackbacking it allows you to be inspired from an article and write your own version whilst maintaining a link to the original article.

In order to correctly trackback an article you will need to find the correct URL to do so. The trackback URL is usually found at the bottom of the article near the comments section. Using the trackback URL, you enter this when submitting your article. Once submitted this will notify the original blog (ping) and create a link between the 2 blogs.

Your own blog should have trackbacking enabled to allow the interaction between 2 blogs which allows responces for readers to easily navigate. It is a great way to link blogs across the blogging community while maintaining your back links.
