Subdomain is a great way to split your website up and manage content more easily. You create a subdomain by logging into your control panel (cpanel) and choosing the subdomain icon from in the domains category.
To create a subdomain, you need to submit the information into the text boxes.
- Subdomain you enter the name of the subdomain you wish to create.
- Domain you will be asked to select the domain you wish the subdomain to be created on.
- Document Root is where the files are accessed from your subdomain. These files are accessed from the home directory. Cpanel will make ‘/public_html/subdomainname’ automatically when you hover over the text.
After clicking on “Create subdomain” you will be redirected to a confirmation screen. Then you will be able to upload your files into the folder you have created the subdomain to be redirected too.
